Steward is a personal household budgeting tool. It helps you track spending, manage debts, set goals, and plan your finances. It is not a bank, financial advisor, or payment processor.
To provide the service, Steward stores:
We do not collect payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or any credentials for external financial accounts. All financial figures you enter are stored encrypted at rest.
Your data is used solely to operate Steward for you and your household. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than running the app.
Only you and the household members you explicitly invite can see your household's financial data. Household members share full access to the budget.
Server infrastructure providers (hosting, database) process data as part of operating the service but do not access it for their own purposes.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
If you are the only member of your household, deleting your account removes all household data. If other members exist, only your user record is removed.
Steward uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels are used.
